[gradsusr] Problem matching GRIB data with descriptor file

I am using Unix. I want to display ACRE GRIB2 data in GRADS Version
2.0.a8 Copyright (c) 1988-2010. The data is for 3 hour
(sflxgrbfgensmean_1931??????_fhr03) and 6hour forecasts
(sflxgrbfgensmean_1931??????_fhr06) based on 6hour time-steps for each
day (00, 06, 12 and 18hrs). I used a template to create a control file
based on "grib2ctl.pl". My control file for 3 hour forecast based on 6
hour time-steps for 1-day looks like this;

"dset
//mnt/acre3/data/ensda_1890/18900101%h2/sflxgrbfgensmean_18900101%h2_fhr

The output error message I get when I run gribmap is "Time out of
bounds" as below;

[chidzas at pollux simba]$ gribmap -v -i sflxgrbfgensmean_189001_fhr03.ctl

I suspect it has something to do with definition of the 'TDEF" or the
options I am using or not using with "gribmap". I have no problem with
the 6 hour forecast control files which are matching well. When I
concatenate the files into a single file, it works ok with "gribmap -0"
option for the 3hr forecast, but no -0 is required for the 6hr forecast
file. Can anyone help?
