cd /usr/local
tar xzf /your/path/to/the/grads-2.0.a9-i686-pc-cygwin.tar.gz
Run 'cygcheck bin/grads.exe' to see if you have any missing DLLs.
If you do, you can install the packages using the Cygwin 'setup.exe'
Still having trouble, then send the output from the 'cygcheck'
Jennifer posted the DLLs on the site where you downloaded the Cygwin binaries.
You must have an Xserver. Arlindo automatically installs Xming in the OpenGrADS version.
Otherwise you can use any other Windows X server.
One comes with Cygwin; however, you must use the Cygwin 'setup.exe' to install it.
I use Xwin32 from http://www.starnet.com/

I downloaded the 2.0.a9 cygwin build, but how do I install it? I have
cygwin on my Windows XP machine. I don't see an install script in the
expanded /bin files, unless it's included in the grads.exe file, but
can't it to launch either.
