[gradsusr] new to GRaDs

g2ctl is a great program which makes ctl files for GRIB2 data. Or you can use 
grib2ctl for grib-1
You can get it and more details from 
http://www.cpc.noaa.gov/products/wesley/g2ctl.html

It does templates too
