[gradsusr] new to GRaDs

Hi 

As
i'm new to GRaDs i'm not familiar to this graphics package, I have been running
a variety of forecasts with the COSMO model and i'm trying to view the output
with GRaDs.  how do i write a descriptor file as i'm aware i
need it first to write this file to start with. any guidelines would help,   or is there a file that i can download that writes descriptor files i would also need to have it as a template as i have lots of output forecast data for different hours.these output files are in the form eg (lfff00060000.nc  ,= 6hr forecast)
