Dear Arlindo,

thanks for your reply.

Your suggestions 1) and 2) work.

3) My cygwin version is

# uname -a
CYGWIN_NT-6.0 KKK680 1.7.7(0.230/5/3) 2010-08-31 09:58 i686 Cygwin

which should be the latest. The X-server of my cygwin installation is "Cygwin/X X Server Version 1.8.2".

I am now able to run opengrads 2.0.a9.oga.1, but I would still prefer to use Cygwin/X instead of XMing. Do you have any more ideas?

Best regards,
Stefan
