Anuradha,
The plot which you have attached is using "Mollweide projection". It is
available in GrADS
Try this code
'open ../data/sst6098.ctl'
'set mproj mollweide'
'set lat -90 90'
'set lon 0 360'
'set t 1'
'd sst'
'set gxout shaded'
'd sst'
