Hi Gibies and Krish,
As gibies said, I got the same error when I used 
set mproj robinson

But, according to krish suggestion, I copied map.gs in grads/lib
Then done the following

'open model-temp.ctl'
'map'
'sh'
'd temp'

By running this script, it will prompt 
enter projection: robinson

Then I got my required plot
