Dear Mubashar
you can use following command for the purpose;
->lats4d -i inputfile -de outfile -func
re(var,144,linear,0,2.5,73,linear,-90,2.5,bl)'
OR
-> lats4d -v -i inputfile -o outputfile -ncep2.5
if you want to compare with NCEP 2.5x2.5 global grid (Reanalysis 2):
[90S,90N], [0,360]
you can visit GrADS http://grads.iges.org/grads/ for more options
I hope it will work
Good Luck!
