[gradsusr] grads.a8.oga.1 for Mac OSX and libX11

Hi-

I am using the "Xquartz" version of X11 on my Mac running Snow Leopard.  I just updated that to version 2.5.1 from their site, and the version of libX11.6.dylib (stored in /opt/X11/lib) works with this version of grads, although I did have to copy the library to the location noted below (Contents/Darwin/Versions/2.0.a8.oga.1/i386/gex/).  Older versions did not work.

a) from Apple OS X installation disk (/usr/X11/lib/libX11.6.2.0.dylib)

It only worked with the library you provided.

My system is fully up to dat2 from both Apple and MacPorts sources so I wouldn't expected this to happen. I wonder what happened with the other Mac users that downloaded this a8 release, if they had this same problem.

I have a Mac OS X 10.6.4 (Snow Leopard),  fully updated to my understanding so I'd hope to have the latest versions of required libraries. Apparently this is not the case. Where can I get the libX11 that provides version 10.0.0 as required by GrADS? I apologize for this [basic?] question, if such. Or some other workaround? Previous OpenGrads 2.0.a7 works perfectly.

I am not sure what is going on; unfortunately I do not have access to a snow leopard box at this moment. Here is a version of this library:

  http://opengrads.org/pre-rel/darwin/libX11.6.dylib

Place it under Contents/Dawin/Versions/2.0.a8.oga.1.gex and it should work.
If it still does not work write directly to me.
