I just updated that to version 2.5.1 from their site, and the version of libX11.6.dylib (stored in /opt/X11/lib) works with this version of grads, although I did have to copy the library to the location noted below (Contents/Darwin/Versions/2.0.a8.oga.1/i386/gex/).
