[gradsusr] Gribmap question

Wesley,

the -b option indeed switches the end of the average period with
the start of the average period,
but the mapping to .ctl would only work if the latter is also the
initial date of the data.

----- Time out of bounds: 1 15852 0 255 1 0 167 105
0 79 0 btim: 1998062200:00 tau: 8 dtim: 1998070100:00

I need to switch btim to be the start of the averaging period,
not the initial data time stored in the grib header.

Seems a tough one.

Cheers,
Bernd.

Bernd,

You need the -b option in gribmap

-b -> use the start of the averaging period.

Status of -b

      grib1:
        gribmap supports -b
        grib2ctl does not support -b

     grib2:
         gribmap supports -b (v2.0a8)
         g2ctl supports -b
