[gradsusr] Error in using files in grads binary format

James,colleagues,
I would like to understand why the grads on my laptop is able to successfully read the three model.xxx files but does not agree to work with the two ecmwf*.xxx  files, all of them attached.

  you should open the ctl file. GrADS files are made up of 2 files: a data file (normally binary) and a descriptor file (the ctl file). You should open the .ctl file. So on your linux terminal enter
  'grads'
  <enter> # to choose between portrait and landscape
  'open filename.ctl'


  Depending on the format of the file you may need a different command. For example to open netCDF files you need to input
  'sdfopen filename.ctl' or 'sdfopen filename.nc'
  There is also 'xdfopen'

    File name = ecmwf.dat .
    Please advise me what esle must be installed.
