[gradsusr] Error in shaded graph

Dear all,
I'm trying to make a shaded  map, but I got an error saying:
-Error in shad-
When I run the cbar script, the actual values of the map are correct in the
color bar, but GrADS doesn't deploy the contours, and turns the screen into
a beautiful  purple color.
I'm using a fedora linux v.10 in a Dell machine and the  GrADS Version
1.8SL11
Can anyone help?
