Luis,

Could you be a little more specific in what you want?  For example, do 
you want a time series, a climatology, or a single number?  Do you want 
an area-sum over a grid?  or at a single point?  Graph the result (if a 
time series variable), or plot the result (e.g. a single number) on 
another GrADS plot?  If you could send us a specific problem, that would 
help...
