hi!
I am having model simulated vertical distribution of NO2 (from 994.600 hPa - 118.000
hPa) over Indian Region. NO2 is in voiume mixing ratio. I want to calculate total
column NO2 between 994.600 -
228.250 hPa. I am using following steps in GRADS to calculate NO2 tropospheric amount
in molecules per cm2. It is sowing values in the expected range. But, could you please
tell whether I am doing correct or not?
'define a=6.022e23/28.97' (where, 6.022e23 is Avogadro's Number, 28.97 is molecular
mass of air)
'set lev 994.6
'define b=vint(lev,vmr_no2,228.250)/9.8'
'define c=a*b'
'd c'
Thanks in advance

> If "no2" is mixing ratio then typically you have to multiply the integrand by rho dz
= dp/g, where "dp" is the pressure thickness of each layer, g ~ 9.81.?
