Display NARR

Hi Group members,

Could you please help me to solve the problem? 
My grads version: Grads2.0a3 under Window XP 2002

Now I am encountering a problem when open a NARR 3hr data. In order to practice, I download the data from NARR daily dataset website. the grib data name as:



 narr-a_221_20090912_0000_000.grd.   I just download one variable:hgtpre and one level: 500 hpa level.  
So I change the ctl file as: ls.ctl

And then I use gribmap to create an index file: ls.idx
So far every thing is ok. Then I display hgtprs, the imformation shows as :

Notice: Automatic Grid Interpolation Taking Place 
 Cannot contour grid - all undefined values.
