How to store images continuously

Hi
Is it possible to store images continuously with the help of scripting.
For example I has a ECMWF data at 00, 06 , 12 and 18 UTC and also for whole
month in a single file (netcdf file) .
Is there any script by which i can store image at each observation hour and
also for each day  of whole month with the help of single script.

If so then any one has such script?
