The old style UDFs are no longer supported. The OpenGrADS project supports
the dynamically linked extesions.

Try

ga-> q udf
ga-> q udc

or even

ga-> q udxt

 "q udft" is the old command, and the message you saw comes from the COLA's
part of the code. I agree, it is confusing.
