user defined extensions installing problems

I was surprised to learn there is a difference, though I was not
conscious of it.  Here are the X11 dynamic dependencies for v1.9.0-rc1:

        libXext.so.6.3 =>        /usr/X11R6/lib/libXext.so.6.3
        libXpm.so.4.10 =>        /usr/X11R6/lib/libXpm.so.4.10
        libXmu.so.6.0 =>         /usr/X11R6/lib/libXmu.so.6.0
        libXt.so.6.0 =>  /usr/X11R6/lib/libXt.so.6.0
        libSM.so.6.0 =>  /usr/X11R6/lib/libSM.so.6.0
        libICE.so.6.3 =>         /usr/X11R6/lib/libICE.so.6.3
        libX11.so.6.1 =>         /usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.so.6.1

My 2.0 build only needs the first and the last one; the rest
don't appear for that one.
