user defined extensions installing problems

Grads Users:


i am having troubles in installing user definded extensions. this sounds
simple, but somehow did not work.

following the instructions from http://opengrads.org/wiki/index.php?
title=User_Defined_Extensions#Installation:

1. download grads-1.9.0-rc1-gex-sparc-sun-solaris2.8.tar.gz
2. uncompress/untar it in my $home/grads/bin (where i have my grads
   excutables), so i see a gex directory there.
3. setenv GAUDXT $home/grads/bin/gex/udxt
   setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH $home/grads/bin/gex:$LD_LIBRARY_PATH

4. launch grads, test it
   ga->query udct
     Invalid QUERY argument: udct
   qa->query udft
      (nothing happened).
  so testing fails.

do i miss anything? my grads version is 1.9b4. the os is solaris(SunOs).
