Hello,
I downloaded a grib2 file from ftp://ftpprd.ncep.noaa.gov/ and created a grads
control file with g2ctl/wgrib2:
$ g2ctl.pl -verf gfs.t00z.sfluxgrbf09.grib2 > gfs2.ctl
I did this on:
Dell Poweredge 2850 Debian Linux (stable/etch) Kernel 2.6.18 SMP i686
Dell Poweredge 1950 Debian Linux (stable/etch) Kernel 2.6.18 SMP x86_64
Lenovo Thinkpad T61 Debian Linux (Lenny/testing) Kernel 2.6.22 SMP x86_64
I compared the three control files from the 3 machines and they are all
EXACTLY the same!
I then opened grads2 and tried to display data from the grib 2 files and that
worked ONLY on the i686 but not on the x86_64 machines. So there must be a
problem with grads on x86_64.
