 OK, let's go back to where the data is, and issue these commands:

      grep -i '2008021312:tmpprs:850 ' model_25.inv

Here is what I expect:

  12:112911:vt=2008021312:TMPprs:850 mb:850mb

wgrib2  -d 12 -ijbox 1:145 1:73 test.bin bin model_25.grb2

I expect the output:

12:112911:d=2008021312:TMP:850 mb:anl:

and a file called "test.bin" of size 42348 bytes.
