What if if you create rk.gs with this

function main(args)
'reinit'
'open rk.ctl'
'set display color white'
'c'
'set gxout shaded'
'd h'
'run cbarn'
return

and then

ga-> run rk.gs

Does it work? Also, could you please run another test? Use the supplied
dos2unix program to convert rk.inp to a unix style text file:

C:\> dos2unix rk.inp

This will tell me the likely cause of the problem so that I can fix it.
