Grads in Vista

John,
Try creating a shortcut to the grads executable and put it on your desktop. Launch the app from there.
Target: "C:\XXXXXX\PCGrADS\win32e\Grads.exe"
Start in: "C:\XXXX\PCGrADS\win32e\"

I had the same problme in Win XP and then once I got a shortcut set up the window 'stuck'.
The other option is to run it in batch mode.

Also create an empty tmp directory at the root of your C drive: C:\tmp
