I am not sure that it is relevant for you since the platforms are
different, but I have packaged those for fedora, they are under review.
With gfortran as compiler. They are currently on hold, because
during packaging I stumbled accross deficiencies in fedora regarding
.mod files handling. I fleshed out a proposal which has been accepted:
http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/PackagingDrafts/FortranModulesDir
but I am waiting for the rpm macros implementation to correct the
packages and finish the submissions.

Submissions are here:

w3lib
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=257701
g2clib
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=257741
g2lib
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=257761
cnvgrib
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=257781

But once agin this is platform specific, eveything you need is in the
archives provided by NCEP.

To be complete, I should mention that I also asked the authors to rename
the w3lib and g2lib package and libraries to have more explicit names
and avoid name clashes. No return so far.
