Open different ctl files in a script

Dear GrADS Users:
Does anybody know how can I open different .ctl files on my script. I
have 31 .ctl files for the month of August 2006 (one per day). I will
like to have a question at the beginning of my script that ask me Which
date of the month I want to open. The path for each of the .ctl files is:

/portal/map06/gmao_ops/e500_map06_01/forecast/Y2006/M08/D01/H00/file_name.ctl
(August 1, 2006)

/portal/map06/gmao_ops/e500_map06_01/forecast/Y2006/M08/D02/H00/file_name.ctl
(August 2, 2006)

etc
