script, writing output values

hi,

I'm computing total energy norm for a number of gribs. The result is a number simply. I wrote a
script which makes it for a single file.

The problem is that I can't write result to output to file or even see it on the screen. Writing in
script:

'd norm' - where norm is a number (of curse first all dimentions fixed)

don't display anything on screen.

I must make it by hand typing:
ga-> d norm
to see result

I belive that solution is simple, but I havn't found it in thw web.
