grid undefined

Hi, thanks for your answers,

Writing in the MS-Dos gribmpap -i pippo.ctl > pippo.txt

opening pippo.txt I see:

gribmap:  Scanning binary GRIB file(s):
gribmap:  Opening GRIB file pippo.grb
gribmap:  Reached EOF
gribmap:  Writing the map...


But again  in Grads after opening the control file I cannot display the
variables (grid undfined)..

No idea why?
