Hi all,
I am a project student at NATIONAL REMOTE SENSING AGENCY,HYD.
I am working on a project to estimate large area soil moisture with the
data acquired by Multifrequency Scanning Microwave Radiometer (MSMR)
In this context i would like to use GRADS.
The data i have will be as specified in binary.I have for specific longitude and latitudes,
a group of variables tb1,tb2 being brightness values,at surface level
for ex the binary values in asci:
250(tb1) 228(tb2) 37.82(lat) 97.65(log) 20001022(date)
254 226 37.04 93.78 20001022
252 226 35.60 93.50 20001022
My question is how shuld this grads binary structure shuld look like for .ctl file to read.
when I gave to Grads longitude, latitude, level[some const value],tb1,tb2,and date(const),this below data isa binary data,as a example how it looks like i printed values in asci here. But while giving to ctl file it reads binary data only not asci.
lon lat lev tb1(var1) tb2 (var2) date
87.809998 6.700000 500.000000 161.089996 90.379997 22102000.000000
89.230003 6.400000 500.000000 159.869995 90.180000 22102000.000000
86.870003 25.709999 500.000000 260.489990 243.809998 22102000.000000
85.300003 25.400000 500.000000 258.839996 240.649994 22102000.000000
83.730003 25.100000 500.000000 262.769989 246.820007 22102000.000000
The grad plots i get is covering whole globe instead of the lat and longitude range,in this covers only india, and frankly output i get is junk
plz can u tell me,IS this the right way in which Asci values shuld look like.Basing on tht ill convert the same structure to binary(convert asci values to binary) and give to grads,
Any examples, would be appreciated, or if u can correct how this asci format shuld look like.Cause i feel somethin wrong is being done in how i am inputting data.
I also tried using station mappin I get Numbers how do i convert to plots or contours.
Which is better to use Grads or station data mapping for land data mapping.
