grid undefined

Hello everybody..

With Win xp writing in the Dos-prompt
gribmap -i pippo.grb >pippo.txt

Opening pippo.txt it writes me

gribmap:  Scanning binary GRIB file(s):
gribmap:  Opening GRIB file pippo.grb
gribmap:  Reached EOF
gribmap:  Writing the map...

But in Grads, after opening the control file (pippo.ctl) I can't the same
display the variables

It replies: entire grid undefined
Any idea?
