Dear Mateus,
Try "set gxout grfill" or "set gxout fgrid" might work for you. For more
information, see GrADS documentation index at:

Colored boxes
Dear GrADS users,
Is there a way to make colored plots using GRID option of the SET GXOUT
command?
I'm trying to make some grid boxes colored to make them different from
another set of grid boxes, but with success up to now.
Thanks in advance.
