Have you considered feeding URLs from the GrADS documentation web site:
        http://grads.iges.org/grads/gadoc/
into the Babelfish automatic translator?
        http://babelfish.altavista.com/babelfish/tr
It may not be pretty, but it's a lot better than nothing....
