gradsdods version 1.9b4

I recently installed GrADS 1.9b4, specifically because I wanted an
upgraded version of gradsdods for a project I'm working on.  I was
previously running 1.8sl11.  Anyway, I downloaded and untarred 1.9b4
along with all of the necessary data files.  Each executable in the
~grads/bin directory works fine except for gradsdods, which gives me the
following error when I run it....

[dan at dan bin]$ gradsdods
gradsdods: error while loading shared libraries:
libstdc++-libc6.2-2.so.3: cannot open shared object file: No such file
or directory

I did a 'locate libstdc++, which returned the following...

while 'locate libc6.2-2.so.3' returned nothing.


For the sake of argument, I downloaded just the executable package for
1.9b4 w/o any of the data files or any of that stuff.  When I try and
start gradsdods that way, it works fine, however when I try and open
anything up, such as a URL, I get this message...


DODS error: Fatal Error: Can't locate remote host (0)
Open Error on DODS URL


What do I need to do to get gradsdods working properly, in either setup?
