problem with XDF file in 1.9b4

Dan Leins,

Your misconception is that "dtype netcdf" is part of the syntax of DDFs for
the xdfopen command.  It's not.  What Jennifer directed you toward is DDF
syntax for the "open" command that is new in 1.9.  So, follow the directions
on the web site to get the PDEF line correct, and use the "open" command on
the resulting DDF (with GrADS version 1.9b4 or later).
