Dear Frank,
Thank you very much, the problem of running .gs is solved. I edited .gs file in it's first line 'open /home/fangwen/grads/model.ctl', it works.

But I still want to know if there is method not using full path. you know when I untar GrADS compressed file, there is three folders: bin, src, and dat under grads directory, I downloaded the lib folder and put it under grads directory, then i set in my .cshrc:
set path=($path /home/fangwen/grads/bin)
setenv GRDDIR /home/fangwen/grads/dat
setenv GASCRP /home/fangwen/grads/lib

so, where I should put scripts file? I installed GrADS under my local directory, do you?

Regards,

WEN
