Histogram

Hi everyone
    Has anyone out there got a simple script to plot a frequency
histogram, I have monthly datasets of wave height and I want to plot the
percentage frequency of  wave height ranges.
    I tried a script posted in 2003, but its not giving me satisfactory
results, possibly as I have had to change it significantly to fit my data.
