<p>*Without the use of mfhilo in opengrads*, it appears impossible to return "n" number of results from amax(), amaxlocx(), etc. Perhaps this could be changed in the future to include an argument "n" to return the, for example, 5 or 10 highest/lowest grid point
values instead of just the max or min. </p>

<p>Why not use opengrads you say? I generate tens of thousands of images per day and opengrads 2.1.0 is ~60% slower than the cola 2.1.0 version.<br>
