<p>we also have the same problem when running any version of GRADS
with Cairo on a LINUX machine. <br>
</p>
<p>We communicated COLA on the issue, but they don't believe that it
is GRADS-related problem because it doesn't show up if GRADS is
run via X-ming from windows machines.</p>
<p>The 2.0.2 is the last version that runs OK on LINUX machines.
Unfortunately, switching back to the 2.0.2 is the only solution
here at UMD.<br>

<p>Using grads-2.0.2-bin-CentOS5.8-x86_64.tar.gz, in all those
systems everything goes fine.</p>
