Possibilities are<br><br></div>1) you are using an old gribmap (v1.x) which does not have grib2 support.<br><div class="gmail_extra">2) you are using a gribmap (v2.x) which was compiled without grib2 support.<br></div><div class="gmail_extra"> Type grads to see whether gribmap/grads supports grib2.<br></div><div class="gmail_extra"><br></div><div class="gmail_extra">You need a gribmap v2.x which includes grib2 support. You can download<br></div><div class="gmail_extra">many precompiled systems from <br><br> <a href="http://cola.gmu.edu/grads/">http://cola.gmu.edu/grads/</a><br><br></div><div class="gmail_extra">Of course, both gribmap and GrADS both need grib2 support.<br><br></div><div class="gmail_extra">By the way, the NOAA R&D supercomputer that I use has a <br></div><div class="gmail_extra">problem with GrADS. The default GrADS module does not support<br></div><div class="gmail_extra">grib2.
