<div dir="ltr"><div>I suggest you convert the specific longitude values in your control file that are in the western hemisphere to negative values (negative longitude implies it&#39;s in degrees west).  Then a command in grads like &quot;set lon -44 30&quot; should work.  The error with your (1) is to be expected - Grads does not want to see the first number greater (i.e., to the right on the real number line) than the first number, even if it represents a legitimate west-to-east longitude band.<br>
<br></div>To avoid the seg fault, try running this line-by-line (i.e., by typing the commands by hand at the Grads command prompt instead of running a script).  It seems likely that some other line of your script (not related to the current problem) is causing the seg fault.<br>
