Hi,

if your data was created on a big_endian plataform, put the following line in your .ctl file:

OPTIONS big_endian

You can put it, for example, after the DSET line.

It should fix your problem.

Regards,

Hi,
> i'm using the latest version of openGrads for Windows which uses
little Endian readline. But my ctl files are built on big Endian.
>
so every time i order grads to open my ctl it says ''cannot enter descriptor
file''. I think i have to download an older version of grads 1.9b4,
but i think it works in linux enviroment which i cannot handle. Is there a way
to convert big endian to little or any other solution?
