This is why they are resistant to GrADS usage. (There is an esoteric way to use it, but it's a bit complicated and you lose any geographic referencing. So we don't recommend it.)</div><div><br></div><div>'L-3' data, on the other hand, ARE projected to a recognizable (by GrADS) grid.</div><div><br></div><div>For TRMM data, you can tell whether it is Level 2 or 3 by the first digit, so 2A23 is Level 2 and 3B42 is Level 2. (This does not hold for other NASA datasets; they all have different conventions.)</div><div><br></div><blockquote type="cite">
