I should have mentioned in my note that we interpolate from the raw<br>
native grid onto a polar sterographic (PS) grid and then we produce<br>
grib2 from the PS data. I then use grads to view the data. We do not yet<br>
use staggered levels in our regional model. That is coming probably in<br>
2013.<br>

Is the CMC model run on a C-grid? If it's staggered, then GrADS won't<br>
see it with the scalars (i.e., pressure) the same way. Sounds like the<br>
CMC output is raw. Someone on the list might have a solution - I always<br>
had the model I used interpolate winds to the scalar grid. Wasn't energy<br>
conserving, but made plotting a heck of a lot easier.<br>

The Meteorological Service of Canada is running in parallele its next<br>
generation of its regional deterministic model. The new model runs on a<br>
10km grid and will eventually replace the operational 15km model<br>

As part of our tests we produce grib2 files of its data. We want to<br>
make sure users will be able to process grib2 data in packages like<br>
GrADS<br>

I have found that parameters of the type TMPprs 850 display well on the<br>
full grid and on a portion of the grid<br>
<br>
However, the UGRDprs 850 parameter does not appear to display correctly.<br>
(here am only using UGRDprs but applies to VGRDprs also)<br>
