This alpha channel capability is only applicable for generating images with gxyat (also part of opengrads). Type "gxyat" and "set_rgba" without arguments at the "ga->" prompt for a manual page. Gxyat uses anti-aliasing to produce images that generally have nicer font rendering than "printim".</div>
