<html><head></head><body style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; ">OK, this is unfortunately a bug. It was one of my own pet peeves that 'set xsize' required a carriage return in the command window before it would redraw the contents of the window. The fix works nicely in interactive mode, but is apparently having some issues when invoked more than once from a script. The reason why it hangs is because it's waiting for a mouse click. You can click in the display window and the script will continue, or you can take the 'set xsize' command out of your script and use the -g option on startup to set the window size. I will work on a patch. <div>--Jennifer</div><div><br><div><br><div><div>On Nov 1, 2011, at 5:20 PM, Kevin M Levey wrote:</div><br class="Apple-interchange-newline"><blockquote type="cite"><div style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; ">Hi Jennifer,<div><br></div><div>Thanks for the heads up on the draw shp - that problem disappeared, however, the original issue persists - when trying to run the script a 2nd time, grads hangs - I tested on both the 32-bit GRADS 2.0.1 (John Huddleston) and Arlindo's opengrads version.</div><div><br></div><div>cheers</div><div>Kevin</div><div><br><div><div>On Nov 1, 2011, at 11/01/11 - 12:51 PM, Jennifer Adams wrote:</div><br class="Apple-interchange-newline"><blockquote type="cite"><div style="word-wrap: break-word; -webkit-nbsp-mode: space; -webkit-line-break: after-white-space; "><div>"shp_lines" is part of a deprecated shapefile interface and should not be in any new build of opengrads. <div><br></div><div>Notice that we do not label the opengrads binary tarball with the name of Linux distribution where we built it on. The reason is that these (statically linked) binaries will usually work on a number of different Linux distributions. (The usual error message saying that a "libWhatever.so" cannot be found is easily fixed in the opengrads builds; see the Troubleshooting section of the INSTALL file.) The main factor determining whether a binary will work or not is the version of the GNU C Library (glibc). You can find the glibc version on your computer with the ldd command:</div>
<div><br></div><div> % ldd --version</div><div><br></div><div>The opengrads binaries for now on will show its own version of glibc in the file name. <div><br clear="all"><div>At this point in time, 2.5 is the older version of glibc I can build for; however other people in this list may have older hardware available and be kind enough to contribute builds.
