You could manually insert the data by using ncdump -V (var), copying and pasting the raw data text into a new file and adding the data via the NCGEN command: http://www.unidata.ucar.edu/software/netcdf/docs/ncgen-man-1.html. It would be somewhat cumbersome, but I don't know how to concatenate netCDF files myself. Maybe someone else will know. Good luck.
I need help with vertical levels.
For example, I have five files with one vertical level each, and I'd
like to create only one file but all levels. May anyone help me?
file1_1000hpa.nc
file2_850hpa.nc
file3_700hpa.nc

1 file with all levels:
Final fille --> new_file_1000_700.nc
