I have tried defining explicitly for all y levels and also with various definitions of the gaussian grid according the the grads site. Below is the relavent portions of the ncdump file from the netcdf file. Below that is the concatenated ydef latitudes. I am using <span style="font-family: Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 13px; ">GrADS 2.0.a8 on a Mac OS X 10.6.7. </span><div>
