Hi! Teddy,<br><br>Thanks for the quick response.<br><br>I actually have downloaded NetCDF files from NASA site: (<a href="http://mirador.gsfc.nasa.gov/">http://mirador.gsfc.nasa.gov/</a>) for 5 years (both daily and 3 hrs). I tried displaying for 1 day and it works fine. How do 1 do it for 1 year. For example : Displaying the average of 5 years precipitation of my region ?<br>

<div>You can easily retrieve TRMM data in a netcdf format from the IRI data library so that it is easily read into grads. </div>
<div>Go to: <a href="http://iridl.ldeo.columbia.edu/SOURCES/.NASA/.GES-DAAC/.TRMM_L3/.TRMM_3B42/.v6/.daily/.precipitation/" target="_blank">http://iridl.ldeo.columbia.edu/SOURCES/.NASA/.GES-DAAC/.TRMM_L3/.TRMM_3B42/.v6/.daily/.precipitation/</a></div>
<div>From there you can subset your data (click on data selection link) then download into NetCDF (data files selection link). Or you can even access the OpenDAP link as well.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>Once you have this TRMM NetCDF file you can then easily ingest into GrADS through:</div>
<div>'sdfopen filepath/<a href="http://filename.nc" target="_blank">filename.nc</a>'</div>
<div>'d precip'</div>
<div> </div>
<div>hope this helps,</div>

<div></div><div class="h5"><br>Hi! All,
<div><br></div>
<div>I am a beginner in using GrADS to process TRMM data. The question I have are:</div>
<div><br></div>
<div>(1) To process TRMM (3B42 daily and 3hr) data for a period of 5 years. Do I need to write a script or a template control file(.ctl) is to be created?</div>
<div>(2) Are there any tutorials available in using GrADS for TRMM data?</div>
