<p>Think I got it. Took a bit of work but figured out I needed to stay in bash AND use short file names and use the"./" before many commands:</p>

<p>So I went to Control Panel>System>Advanced>Env Variables>Path and pulled everything out of the path but the essential windows stuff. Also renamed the AUTOEXEC.bat file to something so it could not be found. Then did a cold reboot. Then issuesd the path command after it restarted just to verify my path was clean: </p>

<p>Next I did as you requested, fired up bash and tried to mount and ls a tried to start grads:</p>
