If you have u and v wind components in your binary files, then all you need to do is type "d mag(u,v)" (assuming u and v are the names of your zonal and meridional wind components).� Make sure gxout is set to contour or shaded.� You can simply plot isotachs for just one or the other of the wind components by just typing in "d u" or "d v" also.
